First time heard about this bike, and while I'm doing my research and finally make the decision to buy, it's already OOS Frown

Ah bummer. I was worried that night happen because it's a pretty rate deal. I ordered one for myself right before I posted. Hopefully mine makes it.

Also, delivery is free so you might still be able to take advantage of that online. That's how I ordered it.

It's still showing in stock at Best Buy online for me. It's OOS at the manufacturer website, but that's not the deal price anyway

Doesn't even show shipping option for me. Just a short message "Unavailable nearby". I'm in the Bay Area, California btw

Bummer. Mine was OOS locally, but it gave me a pickup option 100 miles away or free shipping. Columbus, Ohio area here.

What makes this an electric motorbike vs an electric bicycle apart from the styling? The only thing I can see is that this has a longer stated range than most electric bikes. If you can make do with a shorter range then you can get something functionally similar for well under $2K.

Also, this guy claims it only has a 25 mile range: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TPMWYYH4kw

Super73 is a premium manufacturer. They use higher quality components than most, including the latest battery tech and correspondingly name brand suppliers (like Fox) for parts. Granted, you are also paying for styling but that's a part of any purchase decision for most. That review is an outlier, as most are seeing stated ranges. This would be a tough sell at list price, but it is a relative bargain at the sale price.

Surely what mattes is the ownership experience? You can have all the latest tech and name brand components but ultimately if you end up with something that performs similar to products 1/2 the price then where's the deal? And as the reviewer noted, it doesn't even have any lights. When was the last time you saw a motorbike (that wasn't a dirt bike) that didn't have lights? Looks like this "premium manufacturer" is nickel-and-diming.

You do know it's not really a "motorbike" or motorcycle (despite what Best Buy's says); it's an e-bike. Huge difference.

They make models with lights and extras, you just pay more for them. This model is designed to have all the mechanicals of the their top-of-the-line model but without the extras, so the user can customize it with whatever headlights, taillights, shift set, etc. that the user wants.

That's not nickel-and-diming, that's giving the user what they want. Not everyone needs — or wants — every feature and thus appreciates not having to pay for it.

I don't ride at night. So why should I pay an extra $200 for LED headlights and taillights?

I don't see any brands, other than Tektro, on the specs. It doesn't even list LG or Samsung for the batteries

They assemble their own battery packs from Samsung 18650 cells. You'll find Fox shocks as an upgrade on other models (such as the MX) and Shimano Zee derailleur (meaning they likely use Shimano Zee crankset) and they come standard with Tektro hydraulics.

You're just not looking that hard because you're trying for confirmation bias.
