I thought the Kenya French Press was the plastic model? Not glass

Do they not carry this in store? I have this same press going about 4 years strong and I got it in store for I think 19 on a sale. It's a solid press for any interested parties. Something to know about a press size is that you have to factor in the volume of your grounds, so while 36oz sounds like 4.5 8oz cups it's actually closer to 2.5-3 based on how strong you like your coffee.

I've been using this one nearly every day for about a year and a half. No signs of breaking. Grains aren't coming through the mesh. Seems very solid.

This material is much more expensive than regular glass and much more durable. This is a good quality press. In for one. Thanks.

I have a Bodum pour over set that I assume is similar build quality with the borosilicate glass. I broke one in the sink by accident and bought a replacement. Since then it's been kicking for years and years 1-2 times a day, every day, dishwasher, etc, no issues at all.

I have same Frech Press that I used for over a year. The argument over "quality" is subjective, and one can argue one over the other all day long.

For me, it was the speed. Quality, is just as good with the drip too. Making the Coffee is faster, cleanup is faster, keeps my coffee hot, bigger size is available, no need to stand over every aspect of coffee making burning time. Just set it and come back when it's done, come back for more and it's still hot.

My only gripe with French press is the cleanup.

I use an aeropress instead
