50's are Non-Expandable beyond 50 lbs if anyone else was curious.
The 50Lbs for $239 is a really good deal. I bought the Sport EXP (expandable version) for $340, but I ended up selling the EXP and instead got the Sport 50 (non-expandable) for $280....and I am super happy about it. The reasons were:

1) 50lbs on each arm is more than sufficient for me. I'm 5'7" and 160lbs. My bicep, tricep, shoulder exercises are roughly 20-40lbs with 10-15 reps. My goal is to stay fit and develop/maintain muscle. I'm not a power lifter. 100lb total for squats is sufficient as well.

2) On switching between weights with the EXP, I found the adder weights to +/- 5 lbs to be cumbersome. Yes, it only takes 30 seconds, but it was inconvenient especially when I'm doing super-sets or drop sets. The non-expandable 50lb do not require the adder weight and increments by 5lbs . It was perfect in being able to switch between 25, 30, and 35 lbs within 2 seconds with the pin. I loved working out so much more because of this difference. All the ELITEs and EXP versions of powerblocks require adder weights to go to +/- 5lbs.

I did some research on adjustable dumbbells before deciding that powerblocks were the one for me. For me, it came down to durability and price, which Powerblock came out on top. The square shape didn't bother me at all and now I love the shape since it doesn't roll away. Not requiring a stand was a bonus. Here's a good YouTube video comparing the various adjustable dumbbells and ranking them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVmEgHMhZKY

Bought the Powerblock Elite USA stage 1 and 2 on the last Woot sale and love them! I just got the Sport 24s for my wife so we can workout together.

Do they shake and wobble?

Is it worth upgrading from bowflex 552s to the (0s of PB or no? Figure maybe make the jump when I exceed the 50 and go to pb.

I would say it is pretty minimal and likely no different to any other adjustable dumbbell.

All those wondering about these vs other models, I think there is a good post on previous powerblock deals somewhere. In short, these are not expandable but are pro and have more room for folks with large hands. This is a great deal if the weight limit suits you. If you need expandable to 90lbs, those elite exp/USA show up every month or two and are worth the wait.
Are these also considered pro even if the name says 'Sport'? Genuine question.

I was a little tempted but I'm going out of town soon. I asked my elderly neighbors to get my mail for me and I don't think I could live with myself if I had this delivered while I was gone lol

No, these are not the pro model. One difference, other than price, is these only allow for 9 different weight settings as you go up to 50 lbs and the pro allows for 20 different settings.

The pro are also available now at woot so you can see the difference:
https://sport.woot.com/offers/pow...umbbells-3

(me personally, I went with the USA Elite Exp stages 1-3 but that deal is not available right now on woot)

People seem to love these more then the bowflex model. What would be the main advantages of having this instead of the bowflex?

The Bowflex ones tend to be super wide no matter how much weight you have selected. These widen (not very much) as you add weight. Also I find these to have a better grip and they don't require the set back on the full thing, click over to the next, then pick up again. It's easier to just set it down and move the clip as desired. Maybe that's just me.

For me no, but it depends

For powerblocks, doing home workouts where I have to switch weight settings between sets within 15 seconds, the plastic adjustment can be annoying. I prefer the quick adjustment on the Bowflex

However, the powerblocks are nice and compact, so they let you have good non isolated movements that the Bowflex doesn't let you because of their length.

I'm getting a 2nd set just to let me have 2 weights to alternate between during a workout

I can't believe that guy tried out every single adjustable set! Thanks for sharing that, I'm in for a Sport 50 set too.

There's also the PowerBlock Pro 50 Adjustable Dumbbells which are exandable beyond the 50lb for $400, which is not a bad deal

I always dreamed of getting Powerblocks growing up. Now that I can easily afford, I was pretty disappointed. The slide in pin was hokey and even at 90lbs, relatively light for anything other than like curls and maybe flies.

LOL well done

I think most people like the size. I have the Bowflex and certain movements are awkward but manageable. Personally, I love the dial selector over the PowerBlock pin. I still think about buying the PowerBlock for the expansions, though. I know this one isn't it but that's the main reason I'd buy PowerBlock.
