Just got it delivered today. To whom it may matter, this is the "new" body without "Y" LED. Screen is 165Hz QHD, Gray keyboard (matching) Gen 7 SKU's. It is 3070 (not Ti) @ supposedly 140W. HAS G SYNC (confirmed in Nvidia settings), check with your monitor for settings/compatibility. Left 1 USBC is Thunderbolt (3/4?), back USBC PD is 135w chargeable. Comes with "slimmer" 300w Charger. Gbench 123K, Tspy 11.3k, Fstrike 24.8-25.1K @ 80-83C in dgpu/performance mode. Fan (mostly) always ON. Benchmarks of 3070ti/6800H were slightly "better" with temps @70-72C. Hope this helps.

Definitely entitled to your opinion. Obviously each person will need to decide if all of the differences add up to a $400 value for their particular use case. For me, the differences for content creation (mainly processor and read/write speed dependent) are significant and likely worth the added cost. Would mostly be using this plugged in for max performance, so battery life is not as important.

i7-12700H is about 15-20% faster than 5800H in single core and 25-35% faster in multi-core
Intel laptop has Gen4 PCIe with SSD read speeds over 7000 MB/s and the Ryzen version uses Gen3 PCIe which tops out around 3500 MB/s
Intel laptop has Thunderbolt 4 and Ryzen laptop does not have Thunderbolt
This computer's RAM is DDR5 with higher rated speeds than the DDR4 in the Ryzen model (not sure of the real-world difference, honestly)
This SSD has 100% more storage capacity (from the factory - if this was the only factor, it would be cheaper to upgrade the Ryzen)

Looks like it is indeed a regular 3070, but it is boosted up to 150W:
https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/...7H?MT=82RF

At 150W it should perform very similarly as the 3070 Ti, you probably won't notice the difference when using, but you will notice the extra cost for the Ti model if they do add it in.

I thought these all had the 3070ti version in them. Unfortunate. I know it's not much difference but to me that makes this not such a great deal. The lowest I recall the ti version being was 1399. If you can wait it seems to be a good time to do so. Seems like this should be on sale sometime this year for $1299 or so

This is a great find @Dr.Wajahat. This laptop is not available anywhere else, including Lenovo Official Store. Performance wise, this is one of the top tier 12th Gen laptop, both in terms of CPU and GPU performance, very good and sturdy build quality, great QHD+ 165Hz display, full powered RTX 3070 Ti and 12700H which can pull 110W in CPU only benchmarkks...all that at a price lower than even some budget 3070 Ti Laptops like Acer Nitro 5. If I were in the market for a powerful all aspect gaming laptop, would pick this up definitely.

This is about 20% faster than the Ryzen 6800H with 3060 version that was reduced to $1200. And it has double the SSD.

$1500 would be an equivalent price for the extra performance. If this goes on sale, then it will be an excellent deal.

My 6800h one arrived just now, planning to keep it but had I seen this deal a couple of days ago I would've had little bit more trouble with choosing.

Fwiw, more storage on this one as well and most likely slightly higher battery usage.

Keep in mind discover has 5% cash back for PayPal and Walmart allows PayPal.

As for CB I believe most Walmart cb offer only includes certain departments and electronics are not eligible for CB. I could be wrong though.

Do you see the 'Enable G-Sync' option in the Nvidia control panel? The spec sheet lists G-Sync but the option doesn't appear in the control panel to enable it.

Do you have the problem where the laptop refuses to 'sleep'?

FWIW, Walmart is terrible with product photos. The photos shown in the linked Walmart listing are for the 2021 model with the "Y" logo on the lid. The actual specs and model number are correct for the 2022 model, which instead has the "LEGION" word logo on the lid.

Be careful several people including myself are not able to get the G-Sync option to come up on the 2022 Legion laptops.
