This isn't the Toshiba you or your pops grew up with I believe.
It doesn't sound like Dell wants to sell TVs at this time:
"Beginning February 4th, 2021, Dell Technologies is no longer selling TVs as part of our Home Theater solutions. "
Bought today but will return. Picture quality streaming just sucks. Everything too dark and brightness does not go up very high. The interface is bright and thumbnails are bright in fireTV OS. So why playing the movie is so dark? I don't get it.

One review said nits 450.

Sound was really good.

Also fireTV fonts are blurry in the UI. I would think it would be blurry for games as well in that case.

Also don't know why they disabled 120hz for HDMI inputs. If that worked perhaps I could even overlook other issues. But all these things together I rather not bother with hauling it up wall mount and trouble of installing it.

For $730 it is good deal. But I think will spend more for something better. It's almost like Toshiba intentionally made the TV worse because of price.

Going to return and look for something else.

Is this suppose to be same as Hisense u7g? Because I was thinking of buying that. If it's the same I probably would skip the Hisense as well.

Worst thing about this TV is the Fire TV interface. I have the 75" model purchased for $699 a few months back when they first started discounting it. It's a steal even at the current $750 in my opinion. Yes, the reverts back to soap opera mode sometimes when switching inputs...nuisance more than anything.
Anybody saying it's not bright enough needs to get their eyes checked....unless they have it setup facing the biggest window on earth.
I have it connected to AppleTV 4K and don't even bother with the Fire TV interface.
I run an XBox Series X and I can't tell how having 120hz would make my gaming experience any more enjoyable.

You either had a faulty unit or didn't bother going in an tweaking settings to your liking and you may possible need to have your eyes checked lol. No blurry fonts noticed on mine....I imagine if I were looking for them I could find...but I don't notice any and I wear glasses.

I'm still not sure why everyone gets hung up on 120hz when there's virtually zero content for what's at best a questionable "feature" to even need or have.

Sure...one COULD spend more (about 2x more) and get a marginally "Better" TV... Personally I took that extra $750 saved and upgraded my AVR...

Do you notice difference in picture quality between Fire TV interface and Apple TV 4k? I feel the PQ is better using the FTV interface compared to using my CCwGTV. Also noticed there is no "Dynamic" picture mode when using HDMI inputs

ejoI got the 55in version a couple weeks ago on sale and it's good for the price ($350). I use it in my dark bedroom and the picture quality is surprisingly good and bright. Sound quality is also good.

Things that I dislike are the local dimming zone arrangement, motion handling and FireTV OS. The 65in should be better than my 55in as larger sizes usually have more local dimming zones, but the 55in has 4 vertical columns and 8 horizontal rows. This means that there's a lot of glow around anything in the middle of the screen since two wide zones have to activate on either side. Motion handling is fine except for certain highly textured content. While rare in normal viewing, the motion jutter is very jarring and hurts my eyes. I think this is extremely common on lower and medium tier TVs. I also prefer AndroidTV/GoogleTV to FireTV since it doesn't offer as many picture settings.

As others have mentioned, no 120hz through hdmi at 4k, which is a bummer for gaming. I installed devtools and couldn't find any app content that showed that the screen was running at 120hz, but most video content is lower anyway.
There are definitely more LDZ on the 75" than the 55"

I prefer the Apple TV 4K picture more mainly because of the screen calibration process that AppleTV has. It may just be placebo though.... I haven't tried plugging in my CCwGTV but you have me curious to try that and see.

Came here to say this. Our Hisense broke after 2 years and 3 months, just threw it out yesterday. Looking for a new 75" setup, trying to figure out if I want a high-end or go cheap again.

Either power board went out, or led backlight went out. Symptom is plug in, flashing power led. Tried the power reset tricks Google provided with no luck.

Yep. And everything else down the line (sound bar, etc.) are still good too.

Expensive the Hisense 75" was $399. This is made by the same Chinese company that bought the rights to the Toshiba name.

Toshiba still operates as their own company in Japan with their own separate line, they aren't rebadged.
