I repair tvs on the side. My .02 - get a flagship used Samsung or OLED set on FBM or CL. The new LEDs don't last 2 years. Very poor TCon boards and main boards.

Unless you absolutely have to have a 70", you'd be much better served with the QLED 65" U6G or U6H for around the same price.

You heard it here first, kids: It's not the raw size, it's how you use it.

My f30 just under 2 years old quit powering on. I found out it's a common problem with insignia TVs. Won't buy this brand again.

I would actually love to know if it's possible/feasible to repair a 2007 (yes) Sony Bravia 50". It worked great up until a year ago when the kids threw toys at it. Now spots have developed. It kills me to buy a new TV when that Sony was working just fine. For $150 or less I might just fix it. My 2017 Insignia didn't last 3 years without having color issues. Although I do also have a 2011 Insignia that works like a champ. And cue everyone calling me a cheapskate…now.

Unfortunately the screen damage isn't worth repairing. The good news is there are a lot of older non smart Sony's and Samsung's for sale with zero issues. The older 1080p flagships still have excellent pictures for cable and Netflix, sports and apps. People sell them because they think cheaper 4k sets have a better picture, yet are surprised these sets die just outside the warranty. Keep an eye on MP and CL.

This TV and Fire TV have the weirdest cheapest feet I have ever seen on a TV.

It's showing $569 as the regular price for me. How come $849?
