I have both the 55" and 43" and very satisfied with both.
The 43" is used as a computer monitor.
I got 43" for $100, so wait for lower $ if you can.
As a monitor it's great, no lag and resolution maxed out for MSFS 2020 and Assassins Creed Odyssey.
These insignia fire TVs are garbage and hella slow for the smart tv features.

Some of the reviews on Amazon are a bit concerning. Does anyone have a 65"? I'm curious about real world experience…

Price dropped another 20 bucks. I just bought this Saturday and you can't go wrong for the price. It's even better that I got a price adjustment from 169 to 149.

I've got the 50" version in my outdoor kitchen. Works well, reasonably responsive. Pictures decent but certainly not the brightest TV you can buy.

does the tv do a decent job in the outdoor kitchen with regards to brightness?

what would be a better option for bright rooms like that?

Mine is in the shade but definitely not gonna handle lots of bright direct light. Best bet for budget bright TVs would be Hisense U7 or U8. TCL Q6 is a decent cheaper option.

Can anybody comment on how much built in storage space the F30 series has? If it's 8 GB with like 4 GB of usable space left, I'd shy away from this FireTV because sideloading apps that needs space (e.g., Kodi) will become a big problem.

DO NOT BUY. The newer insignia TVs are horrible in regards of longevity. I have older TVs (7+ years old) of this brand that are awesome, however I bought one last May and it is completely dead...two weeks after the one year warranty. Best buy will not do anything. Googled and it's common for their boards to die. Waste of money.

I bought the 65" last May. It died two weeks past the one year warranty and Bestbuy won't do anything/I'm stuck with a hunk of plastic. It was great until it literally just wouldn't turn on. Googled and apparently it's common for their boards to fry. Do t waste your money.
