"The Viola switch will offer keyboard vendors a cheaper option over the more gaming oriented Cherry MX line, which includes the popular switches such as the MX Red, Blue, Brown, and Speed SIlver. While some MX switches have as many as seven parts, the Viola only has four and uses materials that are less expensive, a Cherry rep told me."

$4 cheaper than the previous deal.

I'm still getting used to the linear keys, switching from Cherry MX Browns. Still making typos but it's been improving each day. Definitely worth the $45 for this keyboard if you want a lightweight, slim, solid, linear mechanical, barebones full keyboard.

Does anyone know how does Cooler Master SK650 compare to this? I got it on sale recently, and I wish it was even lower profile. Also not a fan of the cooler master software.

Edit: looks like this one is thicker. Still looking for the perfect keyboard Smilie. I want a magic keyboard form factor but without gaming issues it has (combination of keys not registering).

It doesn't specifically say the color of the switches, but they're silver in the picture and are referred to as speed, so they must be Cherry Speed Silvers. I'm not a fan since the lower actuation force causes more errors for me while coding, but they'd be great for more gaming focused activities.

Same, reds at home and blues at work just to slightly annoy my coworkers.

would recommend the evga thats been on sale recently. im not crazy about the silver switches. the actuation point is a little too short for my typing style but i am getting used to it quick. the main thing about that keyboard is the keys are hotswappable. i sort of doubt these are being low pro.

Would this be a good keyboard for typing at work 8 hours a day? Or is there a better keyboard? I've tried a few Logi's and they're always disappointing to me.
