It's more of a bait than an act of desperation on their part. I never got the 25 back last time I bought a similar offer, don't think it was Groupon though. Their customer service is pathetic, and I finally gave up after chasing it for a while.

I had the opposite happen. Bought a membership with the pay $45, get $45 off purchase offer and used $25 back AmEx offer. $45 came off of my first purchase and I made $25. I get a new membership every year with these deals but this latest one was the best (for me)

Okay, to be more specific. I bought a couple of trash cans online, and joined the plus membership as well in the same order. Two weeks later, luckily, all of sudden, I was like, I thought I bought something from Sam's club, so I checked, it still showed "on the way". But then I checked the tracking information, it stopped at label created. So that I contacted online chat, someone told me not to worry, they would do their best to take care of me, in 72 hours. Three days later, nothing happened. I called them up, they told me the trash cans were out of stock, they cancelled my order, but wouldn't cancel my plus membership. I had to talk to the supervisor to cancel my plus membership. Simply the worst customer service!

Yes, one transaction. (Example: One receipt, multiple items.)

If it's less than $25, the instant savings will not show up at checkout. Remember, qualifying purchase.

If you plan on doing returns after using the $25 cpn, you will get a prorated amount back - usually in the same form of payment. I don't remember if you get any credit back for the coupon, but I don't think you do. It becomes a loss because coupon is already used. I'd say it's a one time use. So my advice, try not to buy stuff that you may return. Only if you think the item truly wasn't worth buying and you found a better deal elsewhere.

They no longer want to make money on memberships. If they can get as many people in the door to purchase their jacked up price products, it will more than pay off. Their chicken prices just increased 30% practically overnight. It's a large package and some families might fall for it. Do that with a lot of products and you can make some good money. More than enough to cover the Walmart revenue shortfalls.

I don't pay for a membership at Sam's and I'm shopping there less. Groceries are finally starting to compete with coupons and sales. Sam's products are going nowhere but up in price.

These are a joke. Half of people never receive their refund/gift card. I know I entered the correct email because I get all their other ads and receipts. It's just a scheme to get you in the door. Never have gotten that gift card.

For this particular deal, it is not a separate gift card or voucher. You automatically get $25 taken off your final bill when you check out with more than $25+ worth of qualifying items in the cart.

I want to check on this with someone who is familiar…. I had a Sams club membership that expired 12/15/21. I thought I'd waited long enough to be eligible for one of these deals, but this says I have to have terminated my membership six months PRIOR to 1/2022?

i bought the pa $15 get $10 off membership. when i try to purchase something, it tells me i need to pay $54 more for plus membership to get free shipping. Frown
