DCR's review wasn't too positive about this. Wonder if they have fixed any of those issues he called out. Personally I am going to hold out until there is a v2 with all concerns ironed out

I saw that review and it sounds like what it comes down is whether you use the camera for safety or for action. Ideally, it would be for both, but this one points to safety as a better use than action camera. Overall, agreed, sounds like it could be better with v2.

Seems like mostly software issues as most of his complaints were about the app.

Until they come out with a camera that displays on your Garmin Bike GPS, I'll stick with the taillight/radar unit.

That would kill your battery on both your head unit and your radar/camera. You may not see the car but it lets you know its there.

I think they will have this at some point. Right now all the camera is going to do is capture an incident that you can view after it's too late to make a defensive move to avoid the incident.

Sadly, yes, that's all you can do. I'm still never going to ride with a mirror on attached to my helmet or my glasses. There are glasses with side mirrors built in called trieye which would be your best bet.

I'd like to try those trieye glasses. If they work for me I could ditch the helmet mounted mirror I'm using, but I don't see them on Amazon which makes returns harder if they don't work for me.
