Man when will these ever go below $1400?!?! I've been waiting for a long time. $1800 for 16gb/512gb is a bit too much for my blood.

$1400 would be a huge discount, so by the time pricing gets that low (If ever), it will be several generations down and probably not worth it. Yes this is expensive as heck. But geez, you add some things (16GB RAM, 500GB SSD) to the new M2 Air, and you're almost at $1700. Might as just well buy this one with this discount as it's definitely a step up to even the new M2 Air.

I can't keep up, are they refreshing the 14" Macbook Pro this year?

$1849 with Education Discount at Apple.com plus a $150 Apple gift card.

That's the better buy, if you ask me.

Thats too much. 1750 was the best price. Maybe 1600 in a year for now.

rumors are m2 pro will be on 3nm so there will be significant gains vs. just m2 which is still on 5nm

Thanks! I read late fall is possible upgrade time so still several months away or more. I know it may be a jump in performance, but probably won't do me much good. I'm really only considering the 14 Pro for longevity. I purchased my Macbook Pro in 2010, and still use it today with basic tasks. Well worth the price over 12 years. (But yes, getting slow ha!) I'm hoping the Pro 14 will last 7+ years. I'll be fine with that.

The current EDU deal on the Pro 14 seems best. There won't be any deals on the refreshed 2022 for quite a while after release.

I need to smoke what your smoking, because nothing in the Windows World is comparable.

The Macbook Air m2 with the EDU discount is around 1579 USD.

You want that laptop + 120hz mini led screen, more ports, better thermals, and better performance for 1400 USD.

Totaltech price showing $1699 for me. So so tempted but I just got an M1A last month and my M2A
Delivered Tuesday. I'd have to return them both..rather than just taking the M1A back..

I've been realizing the dropping prices on this prob means the m2 14 and 16 are going to be significantly better
