For 30 dollars, most likely. They would have had to cheap out greatly on pretty much every aspect to get a triple cam setup at this price.
I also like how they advertise IR night vision capabilities when an IR light won't pass through your windshield effectively blinding the front cam.
Same concept as people trying to use night mode on blink home cameras through windows.

In my experience with dash cams, 1080p just doesn't get it, you need 4 k to read plates and to get any king of decent detail.

1080p is more than adequate for dash cams. Been running 1080p for nearly 10yrs in 4 vehicles. They read plates just fine especially when a car is close enough to hit you. Honestly though they are only good to prove who is at fault in an accident and sub 720p would easily do that. 4k, 2k is a waste and unless you buy a $200+ camera it won't function properly to adequately save the huge files.

For $30 is going to be pretty janky but if you have nothing and don't want to spend a lot it is better than nothing. Chances are though it is only 720p that is Faked/scaled up to 1080p and or the front is only 1080p and the other cameras are 720p or less.

when you can't make out a license plate and hold a driver responsible because the letters are fuzzy you'll regret not paying for a 4k camera.

good point, it's only $30 more to get a 4k on amazon.

The IR is used for the internal camera for recording the cabin of the vehicle. The second small IR is used at the rear of the vehicle and should be mounted outside. I have a similar camera setup in my Tundra. The rear camera is used mostly for seeing the trailer hitch and connections when pulling a trailer where its pretty dark so the IR helps.

Now is this camera junk I have no idea. The best camera I ever had was a 30.00 camera from Walmart. Battery died after 4 years of daily use. Is it worth the 30.00 probably so? IMHO

Any camera is better than no camera.

This "Maximum Storage Supported: 32GB" .... How much memory does one need per whatever time frame?

I am totally ignorant of these, but could use one... especially one that has a motion sensor for when parked as this seems to have. Not sure about suction mount and would prefer attached a bit more securely. With a list of $83, with normal price of $54, I suppose it could be junk, but tempted.

Not sure that this comes with a hard mount, but went ahead and ordered. I already have a backup camera, so perhaps the cab view of the front mount will be good enough for the rear and no need to fish a wire to the back.

  • $30 seems to good to be true, for what you're getting
  • " ... Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale"
  • This got to be junk
If you still want to chance it, from their lengthy Return Policy page:
  • You will be responsible for paying the return shipping fees
  • Items under the following categories are non-returnable for customer's reason:
    • Automotive ... Car Electronics
    • Customer's Reason: no longer needed, bought by mistake, not as expected, changed mind, etc
  • You will need to send your returning products to our warehouse in China.
I'd rather take my chances with reviewed Amazon marketplace sellers. At least there, Amazon's got my back, unlike SD here.

License plate info is difficult to read at low resolution if it's far away
