For the Costco item, went to Philip's website and searched by HX6829/30. Search result gave me Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 4500 https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/H...30-st08Faq and pretty much it is a 4100 but with an additional mode "Clean" and it comes with a travel case and also 3 W DiamondClean Standard Head. The motor's the same, everything else is pretty much the same except on the 4500, there is an additional button on the handle (to select the two different cleaning modes) and of course, it is a 2 pack of the handle instead of just the 1 with the 4100. But warranty, 2 minute timer, Smart Sensor Technology (pressing too hard + when to change the head), 62000 brush movements/min, battery type ( Lithium ION), all the same.
Below are the fliers to both products for comparison, go to page 3 to compare the specs.

Is this offered in stores or is this a model they typically reserve for online only? There a way to see if it is in stock in store?

I just bought a 4100, the buzz it generates is a bit higher pitch than the other Sonicares I have, I have the Healthy Clean? Is this better in that aspect?

I can confirm that this is in stores as well. Can't say every store, but I picked this up earlier in Phoenix, AZ.

lucky you, I called my local warehouse, Azusa, CA and the customer service rep told me that it is most likely online item online as it wasn't in that store nor any of the nearby warehouses. Saved yourself the $4.99 shipping charge

The only reason I knew this was also in store is because I've seen these at our Costco before. Wasn't willing to pay $99 for them, but this is a good deal. Hope you can find another Costco locally carrying it!

Since the only reason my first Sonicare wasn't usable anymore was a worn out rechargeable battery, I wish Sonicare still sold adult models that could use replaceable AA batteries, such as the discontinued Sonicare Xtreme model which cost about $25 new. We have been using 2 Sonicare Xtremes in my house for over 10 years, and they're still working fine, with replacement brushheads still available. We just change out the rechargeable NiMH AA batteries from time to time.

I just picked this up at Tustin CA location. I decided to buy this over the 4100. It's only $10 more but it's a newer model.

Bought this last time, only thing I don't understand is why both are the same color?

Good sonicare toothbrushes. The other ones on Slickdeals for 30 bucks are to be avoided.

These are great.
