You just saved me $150. Straight up, legit, amazing, I just saved $150!
I've been looking at this program for many days and almost bought it yesterday. I wanted the full version which is priced at $300, but I was having a hard time spending that much. I've been reading reviews about other comparable options to talk myself into spending less. I was just about to read more reviews but decided to check the dailies and found this. I just about came out of my chair. Well I did, to go to my desktop and complete the purchase. Yes, saved $150 real USD. Thanks OP.
Long time ago I bought Lightroom 4, then the upgrade to 6. It served me just fine until recently. Light handed edits will always last the test of time. Never wanted to pay monthly for any kind of software whatsoever. If I were a pro then maybe, a very small maybe. The month to month updates aren't worth it for me. I'd much rather buy a full program then upgrade in a few years. I'm old school and remember getting a disc when you bought a program. You actually owned it. It's like leasing a car vs buying.

Thank you so much was in the market for this app. I was leaning toward this program vs Lightroom but don't want another subscription….

Any idea when the coupon expires? By its name I'd hope it works through the end of the month. I want to run the trial through its paces before buying, and just wondering how much time I'd have.

Currently I am using Light Room 4 and looking to upgrade to a software (non-subscription model) and downloaded the trial version of Capture One.
When I checked on Capture One's website, I found that it supports very few lens profiles, even older lens like Nikon 200-500 f5.6 VR is not supported. How are users' overcoming this problem?
I haven't been able to decide between capture one or lightroom (at 9.99/month).
What is this community advice on this? I have read many comparison and advice and still not sure which one to get.
Also remember if you are a student you can get Capture one with student discount at much more cheaper price than this deal.
If you're planning on getting a new camera next year do yourself a favor and get the subscription instead or wait for version 23. We have 4 months left out of version 22 and 23 will be out by the end of the year. Any new camera that's coming out the end of the year and up wont work with version 22. In case you're wondering the difference between 21 and 22... 22 can stich panorama and works with new cameras.

Is the student discount applicable for perpetual license or only subscription?
My wife and I were long time Lightroom users for our photography business. The subscription model changed absolutely turned me off. Did some research and switched to capture one and have really enjoyed the results. A little learning curve for coming from Lightroom but the control you get over color is unparalleled

Capture One is a solid alternative to modern Adobe subscription if you don't need common Adobe-specific professional environment.
