Exactly. I got a Lightning McQueen one and thought my kiddo could use it for his Hot Wheels too. It was purposefully designed to prevent this for no good reason.
Also, the opening on the side of the trailer can flex enough that the cars inside it can fall out. It's not intended to happen, but toddlers don't care about proper usage.
