Best source I've found for info is YouTube vacuum cleaner channels. Yes, they exist LOL. Did a little research before I bought my V8F. For powered accessories like the soft roller "Fluffy" head, general rule is whether your vac has the juice to power it.
Example: A V8 can use anything designed for a V6 or V7. Non-powered stuff, "Fluffy" heads, etc. The opposite isn't necessarily true. Just as, IIRC, a V8 can NOT use a soft roller head made for a V10.
Final advice for those jumping on this deal, call Dyson or go online and order the "Wand clip," or whatever they call it. It's a small piece of plastic with a rubberized grip that fits around the "Wand" of the vac, and holds 2 attachments on it. Costs around $8, and lets you have attachments ready to go. Need to vac in a super tight space? Pop off the roller head, release the crevice tool from the clip, pop it into the wand, and you're back to the races. After all, the whole point of these cordless jobs is saving time, right? Best (and only) $8 I've spent on my own V8, and yes it should come in the box, but doesn't, because Dyson 😆.

Called Dyson and while they could look up the ebay order in their system, they could not do anything other than issue a refund upon return of the product. He said I could buy it again, but since the price went up, I'd have to cover the difference.
I guess this is what I get for purchasing through their ebay store rather than direct or from a retailer.
