I was trying to buy a garden hose reel. This showed up in my local Sam's club, marked $40 off. Online price is the same $59.91 if you select local pick up.

I don't really pull it around my yard I've found. Sits on back patio. I have my 100' Craftsman rubber hose and I'm constantly using it in this heat to water a bunch of newly planted trees and flowers in my yard. I'm lazy to wind up 100' every other day so I leave it pulled out and sitting in lawn. I have wound up 150' in this thing no problem.
It works when needed, but you need to also "neatly" wind it up and guide the hose next to itself as you wind it up, otherwise it'll wind funky if you reel it up in a hurry and it will get tangled and when you pull it off the reel it'll get boogered/tangled and you'll get pissed off like I found out haha.
So it does take extra care and time to wind up, hence why I leave it out and wind up before winter. Just things to be aware of.
Rather than lug this cart back and forth to front yard, I splurged and bought one of those nice Liberty hose reels on Amazon to mount on my brick and it swivels so I can wind it up or pull it out no matter what direction I go in the yard. It was $116 on Prime Day:

Might be worth considering if you're near NT and Sam's is not available nearby. Looks similar but says it holds 300' of hose, vs. 230', and the wheels are attached with locking nuts vs. cotter pins, if that matters. Not sure of any other differences. Seems pretty sturdy.
I keep it in my shed between uses but I sprayed it all over with Stabil after assembling anyway to help prevent rust.
I prefer the hammered gray paint of the OP's cart reel, I would have likely picked that one up if given the choice between the two.
Interesting. I wonder if Sam's will charge me, to accept my money? I see why Sam's has
to give memberships away now.
Sams is getting greedy. I have used pick up in store several times in the past without any fee ( not a plus member). They started this new BS of pick up for members to upgrade to plus. They give you regular membership for huge discounts or almost free but than nickel dime you for convenience. Whole point of pick up service is to avoid their junk lines ( without scan & go) and to guarantee a product you will get. But not charging this fee for convenience is oxymoron.
If covid was still be serious threat, I wonder if they would charged this nonsense fee??? They would have gotten sued.
Since people barely wear masks & don't care to visit and crowd the clubs, they believe they can enforce this junk fee anyhow they feel!!
