I bought this a few years ago. The saw on that pole is so heavy and unwieldy it's exhausting to use and nearly unmanageable. I wound up using the saw as a standalone without the pole and it expired relatively quickly. Definitely recommend a pass on this one.

I own this , bought it a month ago and bought 3 year extra warranty for under $20. I can not compare with others pole saw , but I believe it has to be weight on the head so it will cut better, that is my opinion. I think just for homeowners that is good enough and for that price it is a super deal.

That's what I was thinking - looks too heavy to be a pole saw because it's got the added weight of the hardware and linkages needed to have some sort of chainsaw functionality, but any saw with only 10" of chain is going to dull so quickly it wouldn't be appropriate for any appreciable use. tries to do two things, fails them both.

Thanks for the insight, will avoid.

I've bought Worx products in the past and cannot support them any more. They don't stand by their products.

I have a Sun Joe that is a 6.5 amp with only an 8" chain and it's still going after 8 years. I use it primarily for my date palm trees that are hell with evil seed pods that burst into seed branches. I'm not allowed to cut the trees down so I use the Sun Joe and a manual Fiskar pole saw. I keep the Sun Joe lubed and check the chain tension periodically and it's been alright. I could use more power sometimes, but for my needs which are relatively light it works. Plus it looks lighter than this one.

I have abused my Sun Joe convertible saw and it just keeps on going. Bought it for a similar price 4 - 5 years ago and it's held up.

I own this Pole chainsaw and I use it every spring in my yard cleanup. I have to say for the money it was a good deal The chainsaw part is good but when you combine it with the pole to make it a pole chainsaw it's a nightmare It's super heavy, awkward and hard to get in between branches because of bulkiness. if I needed a pole chainsaw I would definitely not get one of these kind where it's a chainsaw screwed onto a pole. It's a neat idea and the price is great You just have to remember the positive but especially the negative parts. I hope this helps someone👍

Same here. I had the corded one, then the battery version with hedge and pretty week weed whacker. All still in service.

I got the 8 inch version for $35 on 2019 and it has served me well for the few times that I needed it. Quality is good/decent IMO; well worth $35 though that's for sure.

My main complaints are attaching the pole to the saw can be fiddly/somewhat difficult and that the chain gets loose often and needs to be checked frequently. (Perhaps that's normal for all chainsaws though? I only owned/used the Worx so I'm not certain)

Overall, IMO for the average homeowner that just wants to cut a few tree branches which are touching/hitting their roof the Worx does a decent and I would dare say fine job. It's not a professional grade/quality tool for certain but it works good enough for typical DIY yard work and maintenance. I'm glad that I have it in my cheap basterd tool box at least laugh out loud

Had the sun Joe, lasted one year. Have had the worx for 3 years now, having cut down few trees and many many large branches with zero issues. IMO it is not too heavy to use and an unsure how light one would expect a chainsaw to be when attached to the end of a pole

I bought this on Black Friday 2022 for a few dollars more than this deal. I've used it each spring to take down some small and medium limbs in my front yard that hang too low, and it got the job done. As others have said this is a residential grade tool, but for me it was significantly less expensive but paying the contractor to come out and do the work. I've been very happy with the purchase and would buy it again. If there's another pole saw option in the $60 price range that I should be considering, please let me know.

I bought a pole salt from harbor freight when they were 50 bucks recently. I'm very happy with it.

I have this model for many years already. Works like a charm (residential use). 1. It is definitely not heavy. I'm not going to gym and my height/weight is average. 2. It's definitely not unwieldy. 3. I use it with and without the pole to cut trees. We have lots of oak and other trees on the property.

This tool is amazing. Worx quality hard to beat for quality and workmanship. So, really your review is wrong on all points.

At 60 bucks it's a steal. I probably paid around $100 back then.
