I have a 2018 Dyson v8 that I am sure I bought through a slick deal. The battery is down to lasting less than 5 min.
I researched replacement batteries off Amazon. They are cheaper. But, reading reviews and watching videos you risk everything from fires, shocks, and short product life.
The replacement battery on Dyson website is $129.00.
I called 866-693-9766(that's Dyson). I politely asked if they could give me the customer loyalty discount 20%. Funny thing is you don't need a battery if you aren't a Dyson customer.
Total was 99.24+7.25 tax total $107.17. Free shipping !!!
I figure there are a lot of slick deal who need a new battery . I'm sure this will work on other models.

You can almost buy 3 or 4 non oem for the price of one oem.
Just do your research ( a lot research ) before you buy a non oem on Amazon.
yes that is true but I was able to get the highest rated one for $38 per suggestions from house of vacuums you tube in his test runs cooler and has a longer run time.
I could have gone with the $19 replacement but runtime was much shorter.
I did a lot of research before I ordered my V6 battery replacement ( Runtime - temperature - Safety )

Battery melt while charging, shorter run time, getting hot, shorter battery life (months) and shocks.
The more reputable Chineese knock offs are almost $50 for v8.
If you want oem and Dyson warranty $99 is a deal.

Used to sell and do maintenance/repair on vacuums. Own about 15 of them in various forms. Most of the generics will work just fine. If you want to pay x3 for OEM, then your choice.
