- Look for an offer for "Get 50% back on purchases up to a total of $95" at ClearMe.com
- Click "Add to Card"
- Go to ClearMe.com offer page and purchase the CLEAR + $75 Uber Voucher bundle for $189.
- Voucher will be sent to the email address on file for CLEAR Plus Member within three business days of completion of CLEAR Plus membership enrollment.
- Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 8/23/2022.
- Get 50% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled eligible card to make purchases online at clearme.com by 8/23/2022

IMO, Clear is not worth it. Eventually everyone will have CLEAR or TSAPRE.. it will happen soon.
Then there's another program that allows you to skip the CLEAR / TSA PRE lines
TSA has been around forever and I still see 80%-90% of the people still in the regular line.
Be aware: during the pandemic I let my Clear membership expire as I was unable to fly. About nine months into it AmEx sent out an offer that basically gave you a free Clear membership (reimbursed the entire cost of $179 for me and my spouse). I immediately signed up for that deal.
CLEAR, in their infinite wisdom, decided to count my $179 fee as a renewal, and instead of giving me a 12-month membership from the time of the renewal date they back dated the payment to the previous expiration date and only gave me THREE MONTHS of renewal. Seriously - despite not setting foot in an airport for nine months they still charged me for that time! I got to use it exactly one time before it expired again and I have refused to renew since.
I wrote several emails to their customer service to detail the transaction and complain and they ignored every single one of them. Robo-responses saying my case was being looked into and nothing came of it.
I fly approximately 30-40x a year for work - as far as I am concerned this company is dead to me.

To your point about going only once and being charged full amount, that's same argument I have with my gym😁
