So costco is literally half the price per pair. Nice spotting.

If you're not handy around the house at all I guess these could work otherwise put in something stronger

Not sure if there is a difference between this black version versus Costco's white version. Couple of my picture frames fell even though I used like six white version. The frames were not that heavy either.

Theoretically, would 8 pairs hold 32 lbs?

I'm not sure using hammers and nails to put up wall decoration is considered being handy. A lot of people rent and would prefer not to have to delve into their rental agreements and even if they do, there's never a guarantee there won't be some conflict with their landlords.

Just a word of caution, I use these all over the house for picture frames, canvases, wooden crosses, and anything else I can hang up using them in order to avoid putting screws/nails in the wall. I stopped applying just 1 or 2 per picture frame even if the weight limit is far from reached. I've had too many things suddenly fall off the wall to know that now I need to just adhere a strip on every corner, some items I place even more. And I've cleaned/prepped the wall before adhering things as well.

So do I use these and recommend them? Absolutely, but be generous when it comes to applying these on your belongings, even if one strip may do the trick based on weight capability.

Wait a year or so and random pictures will drop in the middle of the night, hitting the stairs and shattering everywhere. Even better when you have 3 dogs who get there quicker than you do in the dark. Good times.

I've been using them for many years, 2 different houses, and many different surfaces (glossy, matt, wood, etc. ) really light objects up to really heavy ones. including in the bathroom.

I've used them as directed (not doubling up) and I've only had one thing fall and this was due to me being impatient and not following the directions. Adhesive needs time to cure so you can't hang it immediately. Once installed, you leave the item off the wall for +1-4 hours. Every time I've followed this, I've never had an issue with items falling, even over multiple years. However, when I last moved, I did have an issue with removing them. If I wasn't careful paint would pull off. I think this was mostly due to bad paint jobs (no primer, or proper prep) as the paint easily peeled in that room.

Looks like the lowest Prime price is now $6.18. Target is showing the exact same item for $2.99.
