I highly recommend this. Large enough for those frozen pizzas. Also does the following really well: bagels, sliced pizza, sliced bread, wings, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, French fries, reheating burgers, and more. This thing replaced my beloved Black & Decker convection oven. Reheating or cooking, this thing has been great for me so far (owned for 60ish days)

One thing I think helps me better understand which setting to choose:
Toast: if you want it crunchy on top and bottom
Air fry: if you want it crunchy evenly on all sides

I have a several year old braille counter oven but unfortunately the convection fan has died. This is a lot cheaper than that was that's for sure I kind of want to try it. However, when did Best buy only start offering 15-day return policy jeesh.

Thanks for posting, I ordered one.

Been looking to replace a Cuisinart TAO60 for quite some time. That pizza oven last awhile but then had the dreaded switch issue such that the only feature that works is oven currently.

My wife wanted me to buy another but that switch issue really bugs me as it seems so common place. This Insignia seems to get great reviews, so for $60, my wife will have to live with it. Smilie

I'm trying to replace a B&D also but was leaning towards this. Do you think the insignia is better? Already have an air fryer.

Funny, that's the EXACT model I had. Was a great toaster/convection oven, that's for sure. I've owned so many B&D toaster ovens and that one is by far my favorite one and lasted me a solid 2-3 years (I used it a LOT). I bought the insignia hoping it would be better than the B&D and would return it if not. I kept it because it many ways, it's better.

Heats up just as fast if not faster. Air fry gets everything evenly hot. I've actually burnt a few things because I'm not quite used to how fast it toasts. Much more premium feeling and looking. I think the insignia is a little taller, but about the same size otherwise, so looks good on my countertop. I'm sure there's more, but I don't regret my decision.

We used to use the analog Cuisinart till one of the dials stopped working (common issue). It's not as hot becuase the cuisinart had 6 heating elements and this has 4 but we've adjusted.

The crumb tray slides up when you remove it so crumbs end up on the bottom. I end up having to wait for it to cool down to clean up crumbs. Sometimes the blind significant other just jams the crumb tray at the bottom and it ends up directly on top of the heating elements. It needs to have a separate slot for the crumb tray slot like the Cuisinart.

This being our first digital one I'd like to be able to extend or shorten the timer. I have to either wait for the timer to end and do it again or stop it and enter a new cycle with the new time. On an analog one you can just turn the dial for longer or shorter times.

It does well with frozen pizzas, turn off the convention function or you'll get a burn spot near the fan.

I wish it could remember your last setting. For toast, it's always at level 4 and 6 slices. Gets irritating to change it when making toast every morning.

Other than those gripes it's a great value when on sale like this.
If you are in an old dweling and never had a toaster oven, make sure it's on it's own circuit and this will draw about 1,800 watts from the 2,400 watts available per 20a breaker. It is common to trip a circuit with a microwave and toaster oven on the same circuit.

Does this have the Teflon coating? If so, can anyone recommend an air fryer with a stainless steel basket?

The interior is made of galvanized steel. The drip pan is aluminum.

Isn't an 'air fryer' like the Insignia basically a convection oven with a new name? Heating element + fan

That's what I thought, too, when people kept telling me to get an air fryer to replace my convection oven. I always said mine works great. I will say that this insignia does do a better job at evenly toasting/air frying my food though than the convection oven did. I don't care what name someone calls it, but what matters is it's better.
