After CPU, ssd, ram and taxes, you are looking at a $1200-1300 minimum final price for the whole build. Not the best deal but not the worse either.

Not a bad fire sale, but you should probably understand what you're getting so you don't set expectations too high.

You're basically getting the other components for about $50 and paying MSRP on the 3070.

Reviews on the motherboard are not great and the PSU only being a 750w bronze means you're going to be limited on CPUs and upgrade paths later down the road. Someone mentioned putting an i9 in this and not only is it overkill, but you'll be pushing the power draw quite a bit.

Watercooling is also probably out of the question due to case constraints and the PSU limitation. You might be able to do an AIO for just the CPU, but the 3070 is what I'd want to be cooling.

If you don't absolutely need a 3070 immediately, I'd give it a few more weeks. Card prices are dropping like crazy.

Look at the reviews for the case here [amazon.com] 4.8 out of 5 with over 2000 reviews. Can't be that bad.

they were selling this in AMD as well
If I didnt build my own mATX build with similar components that would be a instant buy for me if I was looking for a new computer. The AMD chips on this socket out performed the Intel in almost every range.

The big selling point is for people who dont know anything about computers but want to try their hands at a custom built computer, this makes it easy cause it removes almost all the compatibility problems one can have out of the equation allowing them to focus on chip and ram, which makes the process seem less daunting to a new comer.

Price wise this is excellent cause a 3070Ti BNIB by itself is $700, so your literally almost only paying for the price of the graphics card.

3070TI dont forget the TI part when you calculate the price that increases the price drastically, cheapest TI is around $700 after tax. Which means your almost only paying for the card in this bundle and every other part is a meer $20-25 for excellent components.

The AMD version of this bundle is a excellent instant buy for anyone looking for a new gaming comp.

Already out of stock in my location but this is a good deal for those starting out. If you have an SSD sitting around you can save by recycling it here, so all you'd need is a CPU and RAM. And depending on your principles you could save more money by pirating Windows.

Looking at the intake area of the GT501 case. I would agree that it most likely "sucks" but its not very good at sucking. There isn't a lot of mesh opening at the front preventing this case from properly sucking.

Enough jokes aside, If you have a low end/ low mid range system it might be "ok" since those components don't create too much heat. I would never put higher performance parts in this case personally. Seems like an oven with how poorly designed the intake area is. A Ryzen 5600(non X) or i5 12400 would probably be the highest I'd put inside this case and for GPU maybe like a 3060 ish level GPU. Anything higher than those might have some heat issues in the GT501 case. Alternatively you can just remove the front panel completely. allowing maximum airflow but that might look bad.

240 AIO cooler included, you dont need more than just one exhaust or instake area and it will work like a dream. Water cooled AIO dont need multiple fans or constantly moving air to cool the computer or the components the radiator takes care of the cpu and the fans expel the heated air. The graphics card has its own exhaust and cooling leaving ambient air for south bridge and ram.

I could easily put a high end CPU in this especially since its a full sized case and not a mATX.

In short the case is perfectly fine for a high end build.

I haven't been keeping up with PC parts, i really only look when I'm going to build something new Smilie

So, I'll ask... why? checking reviews and tests, it looks like the i7-11700K is comparable to the Ryzen 7 5800X. differences appears to be in the single % range and would change chip to chip anyway. the i7 is currently 10$ cheaper at Microcenter as well.
I could totally be missing something though...

In all honesty, even the 11700K doesn't look great... even the 12600K is better than it, by a good margin. 11th gen seems like a pretty big misstep.

pretty wild that 3070 ti was an absolute fp steal at $760 just 2 months ago.

I bought a 3900x last year and now am just sitting here trying to figure out what to do for the other components..these barebones are getting amazing
