This looks like an inflated "original price". There is very little information on this and what is out there doesn't look great. Look up B Haptics if you are interested in this kind of device. It has decent reviews, more points of feedback and it is $300 even when not on sale.
Edit: Oh... Look at dates before you comment on things...

What do you mean by that last comment about dates?
I was referring to myself. After I posted I noticed it was 3 days old without much activity.
OK, thanks. Seems like a lot of reviews favor this over the B Haptics.
From people who have both, it seems B Haptics has more precision, but is underwhelming vibrations, versus the immersion sound from this device. Also comparisons are to the $500 40pt bHaptics vs the $300 16 point one.
"Woojer Vest actually gives you directional haptic feedback, specially for games, bHaptics Tactsuit have 40 points of buzz. The bHaptics has a nice design apparently, but the Vest feels much more comfortable, specially for larger people. If you want to play games, either on PC, PS5 or Quest 2, Woojer Vest Edge is hands down the winner! Not to mention the audio to haptic mode on the Tactsuit which is more like audio to garbage... Anyone that actually has the chance of trying both for real, in their sane mind, will agree that there is not even a comparison and the Woojer Vest Edge provides by far a more immersive and pleasurable experience."
I wasn't saying one is better than the other, I was just pointing out B Haptics is probably worth looking at for people that want it for VR.
Even the link you provided has a higher rated comment (that you chose not to quote for some reason) and it matches (roughly) what I'm trying to say.
"Why are you trying to buy a vest?
The Woojer is a toy that makes your chest rumble. The Bhaptic is a haptic feedback system. Buy the one that you're most interested in."
I think "toy" is dismissive cause I could see it being cool in certain use cases but it just sounds too imprecise (again from reviews and reading how they work).
I own one and I did pay $450-500 for it last year, this isn't really a mark up to mark down, it's just finally coming down in price maybe.
The issue with the others that caused me to decide on Woojer is that they are software driven, and only supported games would work… not to mention could become unsupported on a software level over time.
Woojer has more applications and compatibility with any Bluetooth or 1/8"audio source. I never like proprietary software dependent hardware, so this was a more compatible and potentially future proof solution. At this price it's a steal, I debated getting another one for my second VR headset actually which is how I even noticed this sale.
At the end of the day it's just a really nicely made stereo subwoofer for your body. But you almost have to experience it to understand, it's a unique feeling and really does add a lot to any gaming or music experience on headphones.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. bHaptics had Bluetooth and 3.5 in as well as native compatibility with some quest games, which allows directional feedback and other cool haptic effects. Doesn't depend on proprietary software but the proprietary software adds a bit to the experience. Haven't tried the newest version of the Woojer to compare.

Oh maybe I had that wrong then on the compatibility front. I thought you had to have native compatibility to be usable.

I didn't quote that one because it didn't appear that person had tried both.
I understand the thinking that without as many points or precision with API would make it worse, yet people who have both, that I have read seem to mostly prefer this one, I guess I would say, due to the power of the impact, and stereo does give some direction. I think I am going try this one out. Thanks for the comments here by all.
I hate this company only because of their stupid youtube ads. Watching some chill history videos when all of a sudden WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as the ad starts with bursts of people screaming.
