Is there any nozzle I can buy that I won't have to replace every year?

Anyhow, about every 1-2 seasons I take the screw out of the front, soak overnight in vinegar and use a non metal brush to scrub clean before re-assembling! I also use silicone grease on the o-ring and a dab of grease on the plastic spring loaded detent tit, re-assemble and good to go! I usually get quite a few years before having to replace and usually it is because I may have dropped the head on a weak area of the unit ie plastic piece etc.
WORD OF CAUTION if you disassemble to clean: Before removing the screw from the front point the face of the sprayer upward as the detent "tit" coupled to a small spring can easily fall out and be lost forever especially in the grass,etc. If this gets lost the unit is worthless as this keeps the head from spinning freely while on a setting.

That said, I found that these kind of lever-type nozzles tend to leak after a year, 2 max. I have since switched to the trigger-type nozzles. They will eventually leak too but they tend to last quite a bit longer (3+ years easily).

I'm using Sam's Club Member Mark fireman style nozzles and they've been great this season. We'll see if they hold up though…

My general theory on such things is... while "Made in China" products have improved in out-of-the-box quality over the years, their longevity has not, largely due deteriorating plastics/polymers. It's obvious that their chemistry is not up to snuff and because there's no incentive to fix it we are unlikely to see it ever improve. It's the old planned obsolescence thing.
