Beware... Pennzoil Platinum performed WORSE than their cheaper regular full synthetic oil in the recent Project Farm video. Ultra Platinum is what you want to look for.

pennzoil didnt pay the last rebate. im sure they pay some...but not all. just look for the reviews related to this. so dont thhink that getting your rebate is a guarantee. my rebate was absolutely valid (purchased from Amazon...submitted all the correct paperwork). each time i file it they give a different response. took it up a level and now they wont respond at all.

Went to check the status of mine earlier this year and they had closed my account! I emailed them and they gave some bs security reason for closing it and then reopened it and made my rebate valid. I emailed Mobil 1 said to change rebate companies

Did Amazon change their subscribe & save program? They used to do a monthly ship out which allowed me enough time to add five items to obtain the 15% max discount. Now it seems they want to ship out any subscribe & save items immediately....

Take a look at fumoto valves. They're about $30 and make the draining part of oil changes super easy. The oil filter part still makes a mess but I get fumotos for every car I buy because of the added ease of oil changes.

The oil test is rubbish.
PF is great for certain things.. Testing plyers or rustproofing or even open end wrenches..

Pert plus shampoo outperforms most motor oils in the one armed bandit friction test maybe run that in your car?
IMO if you want to find the superior oils one approach is to identify manufacturer specific approvals that interest you.
ie vw-508 is very stringent for 0w20.
MB 229.51 for your 0w40
jeep ms-13340 is a Tgdi 5w30 spec.

but thats Offtopic I like PF but his engine oil test is straight Non applicable entertainment only.

Get yourself a Fumoto oil drain valve, they work great and no worries about those dam crush washers or overtightening the drain pan bolt each time.

Here is an example, they come in various configurations and thread for your vehicle...
