I like that it has a newer AMD processor and more productive 16:10 vs 16:9 screen, but the 300 nit screen is very weak outdoors, even in the shade. I should know- my Lenovo is also 300 nits.

With THINKBIGDEALS and BTS2022 I've got the 6850u, 500 nit, 1TB SSD model (21CM0023US) down to 1338, and with military down to 1241.

You're aware of USB 4's capabilities, though, right?

Only Intel laptops use the Thunderbolt name. AMD laptops have the same functionality and call them USB4.

This, or keep the thinkbook 13s amd from a couple weeks ago? Still in the return window. The other one has the ryzen 7 and 680 graphics.

The ThinkPad keyboard is definitely better, the screen is better/brighter (varies config to config, check spec), and there is slightly more I/O. 6850U vs 6800U is pretty negligible. If compared to the 6650U spec out, I'd keep the ThinkBook deal. If compared to the 6850U, if your budget allows, the ThinkPad will probably feel a little better overall, but at a 400-500 dollar price difference, if budget is a concern, keep the ThinkBook deal.

Yup, the Thinkbook 13s at $860 or so is the best value clearly. The Thinkpad X13 with the same general specs at about $1150 will have slightly better ports (but not significant in my view as the difference is two USB-A ports instead of one on the Thinkbook), a slightly better keyboard plus the Trackpoint, and maybe slightly better build quality (although my impression is that the Thinkbook build quality is already excellent). It really only makes sense to spend the extra $300 on the X13 if you are a diehard Thinkpad person who needs the black corporate look and the top notch typing experience and trackpoint.

Wangs78 And danstanson Those are excellent points, thank you. I've been very pleased with the thinkbook. The keyboard feels nicer than my Dell so I already feel like I'm on a "good" keyboard. I'm happy to keep it then.

For the money, that ThinkBook deal is a tough one to beat.
