The tread was designed because the owner couldn't take his multi-tool into Disney world. Try taking your wave on a plane. I take my tread on a plane all the time.

I own one, I bought two more. I use the one I have as my watch band. The most useful tool I own.

I used mine to tighten a rattling tray on a train not too long ago, which saved me a lot of annoyance. I SIM swap a lot for travel so the SIM tool alone is sweet. I use the package cutter and bottle opener parts the most often tho, it works reasonably well. Not a replacement for a real leatherman but I've taken it into all sorts of secure places with no issue. Definitely not for everyone tho.

I kind of feel the Tread deserves a place in the Drawer of Shame with all the extra watches and pocket knives I've bought through Slickdeals.

Wow these have been over priced haven't they??

I'm a Leatherman/Swiss fan but I see no use for me. What I carry already handles the highlighted tasks.

It is cool though.

I have a few analog watches in my rotation but my main wrist decoration is a Fenix. I already EDC my Charge +tti. Having this would just be overkill.
I have no clue what you just said

What part? That I wear a Garmin Fenix, or the part that I, Every Day Carry a Leatherman Charge Plus TTi?

What are you doing on the plane? Taking the seat apart? I just put my noise cancelling headphone on and sleep.

There are companies that make links so that it will fit an apple watch. The weight becomes irrelevant. I wear Samsung watches, but it's the band on my Samsung watch, and it has been on the last two Samsung watches, and there's another Samsung watch with the related links to attach it on the way.
Where would one find said Apple Watch link?

I've always been interested in this, but even at $59, i'd rather put that towards another Wave. The practicality of wearing that daily and actually using it is near zero.
I got one on the last sale just so I wouldn't feel naked in secure areas where I couldn't carry my Leatherman Surge. I finally got to use it a few weeks back when I was called in for jury duty! I walked through security without an issue while wearing it, so it was worth it to me.
