Last year when they ran this promotion I bought $5000 worth of gift cards. I'd buy a gift card, add the $10 to my Apple account and then load the $100 Target gift card to my account. Once I hit the $2000 maximum on my Apple ID I would buy myself whatever Apple product I needed and then rinse and repeat. The trick for me was to buy each gift card one at a time. If I ordered a card before the previous once was emailed to me it would get canceled.

Last time this deal was on last month....Target had pulled all non-target gift cards from their shelves in my area. Still don't see any apple gift cards in store.

Can this be used to purchase hardware as well? Noticed you can add up to $2000 to your account balance but is that for App Store stuff? Or can I just bring a ton of apple gift cards to buy hardware?

So worst case scenario is that you can pay the education pricing minus $150 with your Apple account balance/redeemed GCs. This is because Apple takes off $150 off the hardware price, and adds the $150 GC during checkout.

Have you tried returning the product and add those additional cards to your account? How does the refund work. I am still holding on to the codes cuz it doesnt allow more than 2k

curious how long it takes to receive the email for purchased card? as shit luck will have it, just got macbook delivered and wondering if its worth returning to rebuy. saves additional130 bucks so may worth the hassle as need to get ipad as well.

I am planing to get the MacBook Air M1 256G with the education price for $899 and it come with a $150 apple gift card, also buying the Apple care + for $159, total is $1100.78 w tax, should I get 11 gift card or 9 cause apple calculate the total price $950.78 plus gift card $150

1 big advice. if u open too many chrome tabs, ur mac will be much slower. so better buy 16gb.
its just 11 months since I bought this MacBook air m1 with educational pricing, and I already ran out of 256 gb :/
I am just a graduate student with no movies/photos stored in my MacBook. i have unreal engine installed - but after deleting many folders/files.
so better go for higher gb or plan for external hardisk...
