Last year when they ran this promotion I bought $5000 worth of gift cards. I'd buy a gift card, add the $10 to my Apple account and then load the $100 Target gift card to my account. Once I hit the $2000 maximum on my Apple ID I would buy myself whatever Apple product I needed and then rinse and repeat. The trick for me was to buy each gift card one at a time. If I ordered a card before the previous once was emailed to me it would get canceled.

These are great. I pay for Netflix via Apple. It's like an automatic 13% off the subscription price.

1 big advice. if u open too many chrome tabs, ur mac will be much slower. so better buy 16gb.
its just 11 months since I bought this MacBook air m1 with educational pricing, and I already ran out of 256 gb :/
I am just a graduate student with no movies/photos stored in my MacBook. i have unreal engine installed - but after deleting many folders/files.
so better go for higher gb or plan for external hardisk...
chrome has become a memory hog even on windows.but agree. get the bigger memory if you can. storage you can get by with external ssd's.

I am planing to get the MacBook Air M1 256G with the education price for $899 and it come with a $150 apple gift card, also buying the Apple care + for $159, total is $1100.78 w tax, should I get 11 gift card or 9 cause apple calculate the total price $950.78 plus gift card $150
i think you need to by 7 as they will discount mac and charge separate for the 150 gift card. then once you get 150 gc, buy apple care with that separately.

I would not use chrome if you are using a mac. Chrome is infamous for memory leaks on Macos. So just stick with Safari if you open a lot of tabs. If only opening a few tabs then chrome should be fine.

1. At the store, can we take 15 quantities of 100$ and in self-checkout can I bill each one individually?
2. If at online, do I need to have 15 target accounts with 15 email ids?
3. at the store/online, do I need 15 individual bank debit/credit cards so that it will consider separate customers?
4. at the store, how target 10$ gift card is provided to us? (if via email, do we need to enter our email id while billing at the self-checkout counter? should this email id be unique for all 15 quantities?) or (if physical ones, the staff will be handing over to us?)
5. if gift cards cant be purchased at the self-checkout counter, at the staff counter - will the staff be strict saying only 1 u can buy? even here, how many different bank cards are required?

So use 9 gift card for MacBook Air M1 $899 plus tax, when I receive the $150 from apple, use it for the AppleCare+ $159 plus tax.

for the $150 gift card, you will need to give them your credit card to charge to. you get a 150 discount on mac to adjust for that gift card. so it will be soemthing like 749 + tax that you will pay via giftcards bought at target. use 150 gift card to buy apple care after the fact.

is it better to use PayPal with Discover card for this deal? 5% discount/cash back on the whole total.

So worst case scenario is that you can pay the education pricing minus $150 with your Apple account balance/redeemed GCs. This is because Apple takes off $150 off the hardware price, and adds the $150 GC during checkout.
Thank you. That's helpful

Yes, unless you have a red card for the immediate 5% off

How is the title misleading? It's "Spend $100 on Apple Gift Cards, get $10 Target Gift Card." There is no mention of the pair costing $90.

I've posted this deal in the past as well, and I've never seen anyone comment that the title was misleading.

RedCard doesn't provide a true 5% on this deal (see my OP), and it also prevents you from earning 1% cb via Target Circle rewards. PayPal with Discover for 5% would save more in the end, although the amount may be insignificant to some people.

You can go through self checkout and purchase one card at a time using the same credit card. Just grab 8 Apple Cards and 8 target cards and it'll be quick. I wouldn't buy more than 8 because that's the limit on number of gift cards you can use while checking out on apple's website.
