I have had this glider for about 5 years now. It was easy to assemble - I think I got it done in an hour. A ratcheting wrench along with an adjustable makes the job a lot easier. The first year I oiled the wood with Teak Oil. The bench was kept outside and did not weather well in the midwest winters. In Year 3 I used some teak brightener and then a teak stain I bought at home depot that was really allowed the bench to weather the winters. I do keep it out of the snow, but it stays all summer in the rain. The bench is not huge, but two sub 200lbs people sit quite comfortably on it. The glider mechanism is gold plated and so far has not rusted at all.

Four feet wide is not a "very small bench". Four feet is standard size for a two-seat bench or glider.

So this one is painted and is the same size but its only $99 https://www.samsclub.com/p/wood-g...ance.rr0_1.. Any one know the difference? trying to pull the trigger.

Thanks! Ordered one. If I change my mind later, I can always return it. But, I doubt it!

I would have gotten the painted grey one, but didn't like the ornate turnings. Will likely oil this one and keep it natural.

That one doesn't seem to specify a weight limit? Maybe it's low? Also, the wood is different.
