I hope some might benefit by having this number since their email communication has failed for me. I emailed them over the weekend and heard nothing back Monday. Monday night, I got a "preparing to ship" update, but it has not been given to the carrier yet. Hope I can get it canceled instead of having to ship it back at my expense or have to keep it to avoid losing money.

Perhaps you even have a different LCD Display? I can see on the back of mine it says it is Model AK47.
I have tried searching for hacks on Model AK47 but haven't come up with anything, but see this is in fact the display as quantities can be bought from Alibaba etc, showing this display.
I did notice I can get to some type of undocumented menu on mine with PO levels and settings by holding down the up and down at the same time while the display is on.
Edit:
Ah, I figured out how to remove the limit!!
These PO settings look to be standard.
So get to the PO settings by holding the Up/Down at the same time after the LCD is on.
Click on the power button to go through the PO's.
PO8 is the limit! This is in kmh, this was set to 32, bump this up with the up arrow to 41. That is the max I could change it to. This works out to 25.5 mph.
After this change I can get to 25mph going down a hill.
On a straight road I can cruise at about 22 with full throttle. Pedaling fast like crazy I can get it up 24.
So this is a bit of an increase. Perhaps with a bigger front sprocket I could peddle a bit normally and get to 25.
Perhaps it is a limit of the 350W motor or the battery to get me with throttle to 23 or so, but I don't think the controller itself will let me go above 41kph with motor assist.
Possibly changing wheel size, PO6, would allow assist at faster speed?
FYI, I see some people have commented about their having 5 instead of 3 levels. This can be set in the PO5 setting.
Here are the PO settings for an entirely different controller, but they look pretty close from what I see. https://elecbikeparts.c
There could be some other cool settings to see what they are and work with them.
for example: P12 PAS Start Strength
0-5, Higher = more assistance
Amount of assistance given when you start pedaling.
I am thinking this must be low. It seems to give very little help right away. Perhaps a safety feature set at factory? But I want help right away!
Or PO9 might affect how quickly it helps?
P09 Throttle Response
0 for instant throttle, 1 for delayed throttle
Sets whether pressing throttle and motor beginning to spin is instant, or whether there is a delay between the actions.
Edit: P09 was already set at 0 and can't be changed
P12 was set at 3 and can't go higher, but it can go lower.
FYI, read on this site https://power-bicycle.com/ebike-power/ that hub motors are pretty much limited to 25.
"Once the ebike is travelling at 25 MPH, the controller-wheel speed is maxed out. You can't go far over 25 MPH on most hub motors unless the motor & controller pair are designed for higher speeds."
This guy also talks about a smoothing circuit the mfgs implement for greater distance. Something about a loop back wire that can be removed to increase initial assistance but at
a sacrifice in distance.
Not a lot of reviews. I got a warning going to this site (possibly fraudulent?).
Why don't they sell any ebikes on their non-corporate site?
Is anyone else concerned this is a knockoff? Joyridebikes.com is the original site (since 2001) selling Hurley and joyridebike.com (since 2015) is painted with 'weird' all over it.

The reason this is become an issue is that my rear brake rotor was bent during transit and I took the bike to a bike shop and they were unable to replace the rear rotor without cutting the cable which would both be a warranty void and also an expensive service given the soldering and other tasks that would need to be done to get it back working.
I am also caught up in joyride's lack of service, other than speaking to someone on the day I received the bike about the bent rotor, I have not got any other responses to my emails.
The bike shop suggested I reject the bike given that it was clearly dropped or damaged during transit as there are other parts of the back of the bike that are bent but the fact remains that if you have a Big Swell. You will ultimately struggle to replace the rear rotor when the time comes.
I'm quite happy with my mini swell but fearing that I'm going to need to do a charge back on the Big Swell given the radio silence on resolving this from the company.
In other news, I got my Mini Swell. Arrived in good condition. First thing I did was replace the tires for Vee Speedsters. I was surprised how heavy the stock knobby tires were when I took them off. I'm also going to replace the crappy brandless brakes with Shimano M375's (only $50 for the pair). Should greatly improve stopping power and make it much easier to replace the brake pads in the future.
I'm very happy with what I got for the rock bottom sales pricing. The only big let down was realizing the brandless motor uses a highly unusual 10 pin connector. Not the industry standard 9 pin HIGO I was expecting. So that complicates the easy controller upgrade I was planning to do to double the power of the stock motor. So instead, I'm just going to replace it with a proper Bafang G062.
At full charge mine shows the first one red, the other two are green. I can't get all three green.
Thinking this might be a defective battery.
I also only get 14 miles on it and I was expecting more. Running at level five, but a lot of pedaling.
Note as well, the same trip on my Betty/Sur say it is over 8 miles. Amped says it is 7. Google maps says it is 7. I will need to check this out further, but I suspect the Betty/Big Sur are overstating odometer miles. (That is possibly why I thought I was getting 36 miles on a charge.)
Still no response from customer support about the glaring issues with my bike.

Took the same trip with several bikes and my Honda Reflex motorcycle to check the odometer.
Miles Tire Size Controller Wheel size setting
Motorcycle 4.45
Big Sur 5.5 26 26
Black Jack 5.7 28 28
Thruster 5.2 27.5 28
Amped ST 4.3 700C 27.5
Given that the Honda cycle is likely correct. Big Sur/Betty are overstating miles by 24%.
Which make sense then, since I previously ran it dry and it did 36 miles, with most of that very light riding. So that really was 29 miles, so that is close to their stated range of 30 miles.
I am not sure why there is all of this other variance. The Amped ST has a different display, the others are the same.
Perhaps changing the controller wheel size setting will make the odometer more accurate?
I don't know if speed is also being overstated? When I get a chance I will have someone else ride the Amped while I ride Big Sur to see if we are registering the same speed.

Any luck isolating it? I am concerned it is something inside the battery compartment because I haven't been able to figure it out.
I think I am going to need to try to resell this bike locally. It is by far the least comfortable.

This is a scam. Every excuse has been given. Every promise made even to throw in extra gear as compensation. Nothing positive, at all has happened in the last 30 days.
Anyway, I am now on that respond list as well.
FYI, I also copied the joyride person who responded early on to my kickstand issue and had sent me a new one.
I received auto email response back that she no longer works for Joyride. So this may be part of the issue.
Well, if there is no response in a few weeks, that is what charge backs are for. Also, with my Amex card I could even claim damage and would get a refund as another option.
It would be unfortunate though because I want that bike.

I received 12 bikes. One doesn't work. Are you saying I should worry, because it is fun to worry? Or do you not realize I am completely covered as you should be as well?
