Totally depends on the water quality since it makes it 0 ppm. I get water at 20-30 ppm and the filter lasts almost a year. I have heard that it barely lasts a month in places above 200 ppm. YMMV
That is regurgitated junk science that you're preaching because if you actually researched the real amounts of the "good stuff" you'd realize that it is such a tiny insignificant amount that you'd literally get more "valuable minerals" from eating a single bite of enriched bread than you'd get from drinking an entire gallon of tap water. Therefore as long as you are eating anything close to a somewhat healthy diet you'll never see a quantfiable difference in the tiny amount of minerals you're missing in your water, but you'll see a measureable difference in the lack of all the bad things this filter is filtering out such as lead and all the other harmful particles and chemicals.
My results:
Tap (zip 60137) 130
after PUR filter 90
after ZW nada

I ordered 1 online. The deadline is to pick it up today. Looks like no one is able to use the coupon when they check out. I assumed they would refund me $10. The deal was $3 for the pitcher. I'm just going to let this thing expire and get refunded. Never really needed it and definitely didn't want 2.

In store price is higher, but you cannot use the coupon at Target.com
To get this price you have to go in store to Target Customer Service and ask them to price match their online price and ask them to accept the $10 coupon.
It worked for me.
Great product. Great Deal.
I ordered from target.com, took the pitchers back to target, returned them, then bought them again with the coupon, 2 per order. Worked fine unless I got a karen... got 60 total. Will last me one year. Thank you!

Tried this at local Walmart. Wouldn't accept coupon at the register but went to service desk and they accepted it. Bought two.

Bought one. Tap water shows 41 TDS and Brita is reducing it to 26 TDS and zero water makes it 0 TDS. With such a low TDS I have in my tap water, I am thinking of sticking with Brita going forward, instead of zero water. One more thing to call out is that the county water report shows 0 lead content. Though it can't be trusted completely, it might be approximately in that range.

what's wrong with zero tds?

Got one today. Already have a five stage under the sink RO system. Using this pitcher to top up my aquarium.

My tap water itself has low TDS and Brita makes it even better and makes sure I don't miss good minerals. As long as I don't have lead in the water, do I really need Zerowater?

I see what you are saying. Zero ppm are more for perfectionists and people who aim to control nutrients in closed ecosystems like an aquarium. I don't think you are missing out on much minerals that is in your 26ppm (parts per million). I imagine chlorine, iron, copper, calcium, salts, and other unknowns? You can probably can supplement it by chewing on your finger nails.

What I'm saying is, if Brita is good enough for the water in my area, is there a reason for me to switch to ZeroWater? Brita filters seem to be much more economical compared to ZeroWater. As I already have Brita pitcher, I thought I will stick to that. If I get a really good deal on ZeroWater filters, I might consider using the ZW pitcher I purchased with this deal.

You're lucky! my tap is 220 TDS, and with the GE brand fridge filter (at ~$40 each), it gets to 180 TDS. I have to descale my Jura coffee machine and Zoji hot water boiler every 2-3 months. I got this only for my 2 appliances, hoping that I won't have to descale that often anymore.

Note that the reverse is also true if you're drinking tap water that meets regulatory standards. At the levels set by the regulatory agencies, those tiny amounts of harmful particles and chemicals won't harm you and it is completely safe to drink from the tap. A lot of the foods we eat (ie. Many plants) have low levels of naturally occuring insecticides and neurotoxins (eg. Compounds that become cyanide) produced by the plant itself, but the levels are so low that it is harmless.

These water filters are for people who have bad water, or for people who want to demineralize or get rid of certain tastes in their water. If you drink water that meets standards and youre ok with its taste and its level of minerals, then you dont need water filters feom a health perspective.

Review of different water filters: https://moderncastle.com/zerowate...ta-vs-pur/

Depending on what you want to filter, how you want your water to taste, and your budget, different filters would have different pros and cons.

That's also not true because there is no "safe" amount of lead/arsenic/chloriform/nitrates/tetrachloroethylene/etc (all substances found in tap water) that you can consume. ANY amount of any of those things is bad. Just because the FDA lists consumption of small amounts of carcinogens and other poisonous chemicals as technically "OK" doesn't mean it is safe. That's just the amount the big food companies have been able to bribe the FDA into saying is "acceptable".
