cooling looks like shit so money says they gonna lock that cpu at 65w
unlocked the 12700 performs about 35% better.

Plus the case is real small and flimsy...Doesn't seem like the usual Lenovo build quality like in their T series line. I was seriously considering picking this up over tax free weekend here in TN but changed my mind after seeing it in person.

Someone who knows better tell me why this deal isn't awesome, 12 gb graphics wow, processor is good, ssd and ram are fine. Yes ugly case and more airflow would be better BUT a deal at 1100.

The components look good on paper, but you never judge a computer by its specs alone. Do you know what Lenovo is? At the simplest level, Lenovo is a computer case company. Same as Dell and HP. They build the cases and chassis to put other companies' components in. Often this is executed poorly, but marketing ploys are used to trick users into buying them anyways. The plastic designs elements on the case are clearly a facade hiding an internal chassis that has already been used in the previous generation IdeaCentre Creator 5 and other IdeaCentre products. The only difference is that the components in this model are more powerful. These components would theoretically provide a better gaming experience than last generation, but because they are housed in sub-par cooling apparatuses and a recycled chassis that does not allow them to reach their full potential, you are essentially paying for less. This principle is the reason for the stigma against prebuilt systems, with the exception of those made by system integrators such as ABS, Cyberpower etc.

It all comes down to personal need.

As for me, I have a Mac Studio and a studio display, but needed a windows machine with a decent graphic card to run some AI video upscaling.

I was not able to find anything close enough to a mac studio which takes minimal space but powerful enough until I find this Lenovo. Esthetically it's not bad, and the size is almost like a PlayStation 5. Intel NUC extreme is much more expensive and I don't like that it doesn't come with a Windows license. HP Victus 15L is another a great choice for me but recently found out Lenovo is smaller than Victus 15L.

Everything considered, i think this is a perfect choice for my need. It might not be a perfect choice for serious gaming.

I saw this one too but I can't find any info/videos on youtube that tells if this can be upgraded to 64gb ram. Not really into gaming, more into coding. What I saw in YT is Ideacenter 5i that says there's 4 slots, 2 of which is soldered

You are paying x for y performance but getting 70 percent of that. Why pay 1.1k for an 12 gen i7 and 3060 when you gonna get probably i5/3050ti level performance. Might as well buy an i5/3050ti machine and save money.
