Does the switch have to be blue tooth ? Or the device or does only the bulb have to be

I just ordered an adaptor from Amazon for $7 bucks for my ceiling fan. Which worked because I had room. Allowed me to use the standard base.

Just the bulb. You need a base station in your house somewhere though.

Not bright, only 400 lumen (similar to 40W incandescent) . Took me a while to find the specs because they are not mentioned, it also uses 5.5W, which any high-efficiency LED will do 600 lumen and an original 50W halogen will also do about 600 lumen.

Solid deal - every time Philips does a sale on huge lighting, they never include the GU10s in the sale. Going to grab a couple as well, thx OP

those don't have wi-fi. got to account for that energy consumption.

What is the behavior of these if you power them off with a switch or dim them with a dimmer?

(My GU10 lamps are on a Lutron Caseta switch.)

Ideally they would hold their last set color and dim, but I bet at least the dimmer will cause problems.

Have you ever thought about using a smart wall switch instead? Or going whole hog with a Lutron smart system?

I find these solutions much better than the Hue bulb-by-bulb system. Cheaper in the long run too if you have a lot of lights.

OR get a cheap socket adapter on Amazon so you can use a "regular" bulb.
