I had really bad luck with this unit. If you filter the reviews by most recent you will see that they all have issues with leaking. Mine flooded my basement floor overnight.

Was thinking of getting the 35 pint when it is on sale Wednesday but now I'm having to debate on how worthwhile it would be to have a larger heavier unit (Just to run in the bathroom).

Probably an overkill for the bathroom

This has been reliable for me for 1.5 years; a little louder than the GE unit it replaced (which had its humidistat go out after 2 yrs) but since it's Costco I like the warranty of course. Hadn't used the pump so I can't comment on that. Gravity drain has worked great, no leaking issues.

This unit is set up for pump mode by default. I set it up and turned it on assuming it would collect in the tank and it barely collected anything. Then realized it was leaking all over the floor. You have to remove a rubber stopper from inside the unit in order for it to collect in the tank. Instructions don't say this anywhere. Once set up correctly, it works great.

Bought mine about the same time and only use the pump which has worked flawlessly.

I was trying to use the pump and not the tank.

Bought mine a couple of months ago and let it run for a couple of hours only to come back to a puddle on the floor underneath. Seems like a lot of units have the issue. The pump feature works good and I just use that to drain it into a floor drain in the basement. I decided to keep it because of the good price and Costco return policy. Also, if you let it run for a while, it will raise the room temperature.

I run mine in the bathroom during the winter. Wicks the moisture faster and warm up the bathroom too.

My first one died after a year with a E9 error. I bought another from Costco and it works ok now but it runs too frequently. The humidity gauge reports a rapidly increasing humidity level that my separate thermometer/humidity gauge does not show. Luckily I have Costco's return policy to fall back on.

We bought two Hisense 50pt dehumidifiers from Costco and they lasted approximately 14 months. Both E9 error codes. Both were returned.

YMMV, of course.

I borrowed my mothers 35yo dehumidifier because it's still plugging away while I search for an alternative. 35 years old. Still working. Highsense could learn something from this machine.

Bought mine yesterday to replace a Frigidaire. It generates lot more heat than old one. Not really ideal considering my primary usage is in basement for summer humidity. It seems to pulling moisture more or less same level as expensive Frigidaire unit.
