I'd disagree on numpad. Highly useful for literally any situation you need to input numbers (including making calls).

This laptop is amazing. Outrageously thin and light for how powerful it is.
Has an antiglare screen.

I run autohotkey scripts from half my keyboard. Having the numpad is great because it's technically different than the top row #s. If you use your laptop for productivity or anything that can be scripted, AHK can be invaluable, and better with a num pad.

I have a Lenocvo Legion high end gaming laptop (although gaming really only happens on a desktop) and the off-center track pad is a 100% deal breaker agreed. I will never ever buy a laptop with an off-centered track pad. In fact the number pad needs to go as well, I'm not using this thing as a calculator or a phone so no need for a numpad. Damn designers, they should be forced to use the terrible things they make.

Is the 32gb going on sale as well? If so when?
Not sure, hope it will be on sale like $1799 - $100 drop - $400 discount = $1299. For extra $200, you will get 32GB and 1TB SSD.

LOL! nope. Cybersecurity, but I think if I had a need for a numpad, I'd buy one and usb plug it in...the offset keyboard is crazy annoying, I keep pressing numlock instead of backspace, etc...and my left hand hangs off the left edge of the laptop. However my other laptop for work has no numpad and its comfortable. A numpad on my desktop, is perfect, no issues, but a laptop is too small for that and mine is a 16" screen, so not tiny.

Getting it for just the matte screen. I have 10th gen gram I got almost 2 years ago that has some issues. Going to go through all troubleshooting (Costco concierge is literally making you reinstall windows to see if it fixes hardware issues (spotty fingerprint reader, Bluetooth randomly stopping for days) and white spots on the screen, but I will play along). Paid same price for mine and going to be using Costco visa for extra warranty and cashback. I love this laptop form factor, hopefully this one is going to be better quality wise.

how come there's no spec. on battery life. i have last year 15" model of the gram and the weight is amazing but the battery life is super exaggerated. i think i get about half of what the spec. states.

32gb went on sale in May/June. Was $200 off $1599. Double the Ram and storage space isn't worth the $500 difference, but maybe that will get a larger discount in the future.

Anybody upgraded the ssd on a 2022 unit? This vid - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m...oO4&t=598s makes it look dicey getting the case open. In particular the three last tabs. And in the comments the uploader says he still never figured it out. Def want to throw in an extra drive but don't want to damage the case...

Our local warehouse has it for 700.00 and a * (star) next to the price. I asked if it was a display model and customer service said brand new sealed in the box. He said they are getting rid of those to bring the next version on display.

I've been eying this model, but worried about sup-par cooling with a single fan, but I'm no laptop expert. Any thoughts?
Cooling has rarely been an issue. If you game a lot, I would add a fan pad under it. But normal use is fine. One of the best laptops I have ever bought

That stupid track pad is still off center from the main keys... They kept it in the center of chassis...
I don't get why the trackpad being off centered is an issue. Ergonomically when you pull your hand down it doesn't naturally go straight down, your arm retracts to the right as you pull - so it being off centered to the right makes sense (unless you're left handed?)

Interesting. I wonder how different they are. Watching the vid I just kept waiting for the "pop" of a broken tab. He really seemed to struggle...
