Depends what you are looking for : a latest model vs a better performing model. The a80j is much brighter than the a80k. There is a firmware upgrade that make the a80j to work like the 90j. That is what it makes a better TV.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I've always stuck with Samsung but inching towards Sony for the next purchase cause of its processing for TV and movies.
