I just bought a house, and while my old place had recessed ceiling lighting everywhere, the new place is pretty lamp-dependent. OMG is it taking willpower to not break the bank and buy way too many hue bulbs.

The difference isn't night and day but it's enough where a sitting room that has two table lamps and one floor lamp, I changed from the old bulbs to new ones has made a noticeable difference. It went from seeming a little dim to "this room now seems normally lit." You also get Costco's excellent return policy.
