    Average regular price on Amazon is $20, not $40 as product page suggests. Still not a bad deal, but fyi

    I think the only way even polyester can be water repellent or water proof, is to regularly coat it with a water proofing spray like ppl have to do on camping tents.
    Mold and mildew are common on fabric, when wet for a long period of time and not treated asap. Even $$$$ tent will get them
    Good luck.

    I want to order these, but a few people have commented about mold after only a few months. The mold did not wash out for them. My patio is covered, but these will definitely be exposed to rain in the summer as I am in the south. I am not sure if they can withstand Tilex or a similar product. Thoughts?

    Yea these would definitely last longer being indoors. Might be useful for houses in Texas that have unusually large windows and an ungodly amount of them.

    Yea there's no lack of sunshine here, but builders keep building houses with giant windows everywhere. I think it's a cost-saving measure for them, advertised as "open concept" to attract buyers. Probably one of the reasons why we're using up so much power.
