Great price but rtings.com doesn't have the greatest review on it.
Keep in mind that RTINGS reviewed the 65" A6G series model that has an IPS panel (lower contrast / wider viewing angle). This 70" model has a VA panel (higher contrast / narrower viewing angle). Since RTINGS overall favors VA panel performance in their review criteria, this 70", by RTINGS' standards, should perform better than the review suggests.

You assume he's putting a 70" TV in his bathroom, not that he's a firefighter???

I have the a6g 70 inch from best buy, I think it was 550 ish last September October. It isn't as nice backlight/color wise as my father-in-law's 1500 LG bought around the same time, but isn't 3 times worse 🤣 I actually like mine pretty good but I did get the 5 year geeksquad parts and service making it like 715 delivered cause didn't know how the quality would go

Seems to basically be the same TV from what I googled but I could be wrong.

Hard pass on TVs without a physical factory reset button.

Had a Hisense from Black Friday 2 years ago, Android, suddenly "memory low", can't delete apps, can't factory reset. It just cycles back.

If this was Roku, likely it'll have a physical reset button.

I have a Hisense from 2015 used daily and never had an issue. Just make sure you check for updates every so often.

Confirmed. Saw this in Maple Grove, MN Sam's yesterday. I don't need it, but I thought about it.

I got the 70" ONN for 280 last Christmas and it's been a fantastic bedroom tv. These TVs have their uses.

I assume that's your nickname for your bathroom? I call mine the kingdom of poopington, where I'm royalty.

If you can justify spending $1500 or more for a TV, more power to you. However, we just want a way to have a cheap movie night and this TV more than delivers at the price point. Very happy with it. We just use a separate streaming box since the ones built in the cheaper TV models tend to be terrible.

My Hisense just stopped working after two years. How do you check for updates? Could that be the problem?
