Good deal. Worked for many years at a sawmill bucking logs. While bar oil is far better because it lasts longer and slings less mess around, pretty much any oil will work. We mostly recycled used motor oil, tranny fluid, or hydraulic fluid and they worked just fine.

it lacks tackifiers and makes more of a slinging mess..
That being said any bar oil is good. not much difference between the super expensive and cheap. 2 cycle oil is more important(use jaso FD)

PS home depot everyday price is 12.97 for a gallon of echo bar oil.. not sure 10$ for blackmax is a stockup type of clearance.

Mix 50/50 with mineral spirit and you have yourself a life time supply of bicycle chain oil.

Used engine oil has been used in my Stihl 044 saw since 1995. I've heated my Mn home exclusively on wood and have never had a issue with the saws oil system, bars or chains other than normal wear and tear. Save yourself some money.

And Lowes Pro Select for $13 - 10% military. Have used a few gals of pro select and echo. Like you said, not any diff that I can tell. Used to get Poulan cheap at WM several years ago.

Pretty sure it's always around this price at WM. I bought it about 2 weeks ago for this price.

It's ok, don't worry, you only lack of reading comprehension.

Good deal. I have to hit my local store and may grab a gallon or two if it's the same price.

If i wasn't sitting on six or seven gallons of CountyLine from TSC's last sale I'd order some.

Thanks OP.
