Any owners who would like to share their experience with this model?
I haven't any experience with this model, but I do suggest getting a 3-blade model instead. Look at reviews between the two and three blade models to better understand. I have and recommend the Dewalt 3-blade DW735 model. I do suggest spending a little more for the DW735X version (same model) that comes with the in/ out feed tables and extra replacement blades. The mobile stand that can be purchased with it is not a good idea. The unit weighs in around seventy pounds and the footprint of the stand makes it a top heavy, tip over hazzard.
The two speeds are a nice option, but honesty; I run the slow speed to get the cleanest cut and it is plenty fast.
300 sale for a lunch box planer is robbery i don't care even with inflation.
Anyways standard 2 blade planer will have some snipe, sled will help with that or just cut to length afterwards, no cutterhead lock i presume but they work great for basic stuff and you can plane crap wood with knots and stuff and not worry too much as blades are cheap. Standard unit same as wen, craftsmen and the others....

I realize this is 2 months old. I have this one. Some snipe is a gross understatement. I believe I would recommend saving for the Dewalt to anyone reading this in the future. While it does work you'll just wish you had the Dewalt constantly
