Considering the awful things the FDA has approved, and the clearly devious things the drug companies have done in the name of profits, I'm not so sure that criticizing vitamin companies for not being part of the healthcare establishment is all that powerful of a statement.
I wonder if the Puritans would be so bold to have used and endorsed caffeine. Seems a party drug they would frown upon, though it does tend to dull the part of you that relaxes so it might be their thing after all.
90 count of jet alert 200mg is $3.48 regular price at WM. Caplets are easy to snap in half.
I buy the jetalert 100mg tablets for convenience. Nice to have around when I don't have time or the desire to get coffee. Or if I'm just trying to avoid coffee shits and coffee breath.

You'll be interested to know that not only did they consume it, but they appear to have been the ones to popularize coffee:
As long as you are fine with none of these being regulated by the FDA, and some of these products having terrible reviews, you really can't beat this kind of price for snake oil.

Yeah, with the info we have at our disposal in 2022 it's nearly irrelevant imo as well. It's about on par with Fast Food companies that list anything they sell as "healthy" with many people blindly buying it like gospel. You just need to do some research regardless if you care what you're putting in your body and even then many things are filled to the brim with grey area.

Years ago some group (maybe Consumer Reports?) analyzed vitamins/supplements from 20 different brands, and they tested Fish Oil pills for heavy metals like mercury. Puritans Pride was one of the brands with the "cleanest" fish oil, so I've always bought my stuff from them. That study was done like 10 years ago, though.

If I just want sustained focus or to not brew that third pot of coffee for the day, this is an alternative.
