Decent price, but I'm also unfamiliar with GME Supply. Internet puts it as so-so in its ratings... but what really throws me is their really high rating on their iwn website when u do a Google search. 4.6 stars with hundreds of ratings... but everywhere else is a mix of good and bad? It just seems odd... but that doesn't legitimize it one way or other.
Also, keep an eye out for more really great deals (from more reputable sellers) on the heavier duty tools in the 18v/36v format.
With the 40v lineup growing, they'll likely be discounting a lot of their 18v to push their 40v lineup more.
But for the love of all things great and small... don't buy the 40v palm router. Makita REALLY ticked me off with that, and the 40v track saw. I can't even talk about it without busting a vein in my forehead 👹👹👹
Ordered one. Received in the original Makita packaging (not double boxed). No issues whatsoever. Made tire rotation significantly less annoying.
The tool itself has what appears to be a clear acrylic like plastic between the Chuck and the body of the tool so if I drop the wrench I could see that part cracking. However with my compact battery the wrench weighs less than 3.5 lbs so I hope that translates to not dropping the wrench. 🤞
The joint between the wrench and the battery is fixed, unlike some of the newer Makita wrenches which have a flexible joint between the wrench and battery, to preserve the battery life by not allowing the batteries to wiggle loose from the wrench.
I purchased this about two months ago or a month ago, great purchase! It performs well on the torque test channel, go check out the video! GME delivered quickly also, I wasn't sure about the purchase at first as well.
