yes, brother laser printers are the best.

However this unit may not print duplex which is a non starter for me.
Canon and Brother make the best printers but Brother makes all of their printers duplex as far as I know.
Had trouble with a power cord on a Brother but it was a minor issue. If you moved the unit it would come loose.
Once you have had auto duplex you will never go back.
Interesting thing happened on the way to the forum.
I discovered toner goes bad if not used in less than 3 years in a machine. It will start clumping and streaking. Moisture is the killer and if you don't use your printer daily the toner will not stay dry.
Sealed in a original bag it may last a long time.
So as with all printers use them or loose them.

All that being said this is a good deal imo. With the few canons I've worked with I haven't had really any complaints from the customers.
