Love pedal deals, so no thumbs down, but my guess is that offerup and FB Marketplace have these used for much, much less.

Used gear is always used gear, can go up or down in value. New is retail. That being said I've never once purchased gear new in near 40 years.

What I'm curious about is the chip. It doesn't say the original chip is being replicated or reproduced, just the sound is. For decades custom pedal makers were ripping apart various other pedals for that chip. When digital took over the sound could be replicated but never fully realized due to how analog and digital produce that sound.

"The TS808 reissue features the same famous standout square footswitch of the original and the even more famous warm tones of the JRC4558 chip used in most of the original TS808's."

From the Ibanez website. "The reissue includes the same JRC4558D IC chip and analog circuitry as the original, and features traditional overdrive, level, and tone controls."
