This is $50 more than the last deal I posted which was FP. You can go through the comments in case you have any queries.
This is still a decent deal but definitely not as slick as the previous one. Not sure if or when it will go down to that price again.

Did you read the part where it's clearly stated "Two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, dual-channel capable" ?

Sick of gaming laptops being sold with 8gb ram. Are we in 2022? Great that you can add more ram but now you have to go through the hassle of ordering more and installing

Worst buy will subtract $30 if you decide to return the laptop. They are charging you $30 for the "free" software.

All you complaining about 8gb ram...shouldn't be looking at low end laptops. Just pony up and pay more for a laptop with 16gb if you're not capable of cracking open a case and adding ram. And btw it ain't that hard I'm an idiot and I built my first PC in 7th grade in the 90s

I'm looking for something "good enough" for experimenting with SteamVR and the Quest 2 - this seems like it would fit the bill. I like that it doesn't scream Gamer so can be repurposed for productivity / linux etc. GTX 3050 + expandable memory seems like a win to me. Though I really just want to experiment, so ideally something closer to ~$400 would be nice. Doesn't even /have/ to be a laptop necessarily, but the compactness/convenience is nice. Not too terribly concerned with being able to upgrade the graphics.

Everyone is saying that price are going to drop through the floor closer to Black Friday due to all the overstock from the supply chain mayhem. Keeps me wondering.
