Good deal? $1042 now with 3060 12gb, 16gb of ram, and Ryzen 7 to boot. Looks sweet to me, any other comments? just a dad here looking for a pc for their kid to game on.

Thanks!
My opinion, it's not a bad deal for a pre-built system. Again, not great, but not bad at all. It is more than adequate for most games, even on high settings. But will they be able to play ALL things, on the MAX settings? No! lol
Can't tell what motherboard or chipset it uses, but looks the same as this previous ad posted here, for $500 (below) And And that one uses an AMD B550. (best right now are z690 boards) https://slickdeals.net/f/15979732-asus-rog-strix-gl10-gaming-desktop-ryzen-5-3600x-8gb-ram-256gb-ssd-gtx-1660-ti-499-free-shipping?src=frontpage
And, AMD is updating their cpu socket to AM5 (from AM4) some time this year, and while they say some things will still be viable for their existing chips/cpu's... they're basically going to the new technology which affords them PCIe5, to use DDR5 RAM, etc. Here's an older article about it: https://www.pcmag.com/news/new-am...ng-in-2022
Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you more! lol
