Don't buy this crap, it's the thickness of a cheese cloth. This is the same screen that all of the budget Chinese projector manufacturers include with their projectors or give you in exchange for a 5 star Amazon review.

Do you have a better recommendation for a cheap screen? This is better/easier to use then an old sheet and looks better then projecting on a wall or fence ...if this isn't big enough, I just bout a 150'' screen from amazon for $25.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

is this better than projecting on a wall? I've been projecting on a wall for last two years now and it looks pretty darn good lol.

Edit: nvm. one of the reviews answered my question:
Its ok but my projector loses a little bit of sharpness and quality when using the screen i feel like my projector looks way better when i just use it on a regular flat wall

I have a cheap screen like this and it really is pretty crappy...You can see thru the fabric...I am thinking I am going to take it down, paint the space and frame it out to look nicer

It's only because the material is thin. I believe you can use these you just have to put something behind it

Is the picture quality on the surface OK, or is it mainly the bad aesthetics of the screen?

Mostly the screen...I am not running an amazing projector by any means, so its alright, just not happy that i can see thru the screen when I get close.

I have no recommendation for a cheap screen in this price range, all I can do is warn others against wasting their money because I own one of these and know how poorly it performs.

This isn't better nor easier than projecting on a wall. A light-colored wall is much better and the cloth is so thin that it makes no noticeable difference when positioned in front of a dark wall. Using this alongside a fence isn't worthwhile either because the fence lines will be visible when positioned against it, and at a distance you'll have too much light bleeding through.

Price is legit. When if comes to corners cut and unknown chemicals involved in the manufacture - that's a different price that's payed later.

Light bleeding is a non issue at home. Just put a dark fabric behind or some black poster board

In this price range you won't find anything and it is certainly better than your wall. It just will not provide any gain as some light will pass through

A thin material will be terrible for a projector since not all light will reflect back to your eyes. You'll end up with a dimmer image because of it. Go Hobby Lobby or somewhere similar and get some white blackout curtain fabric.
